As humans, we love to have companions and friends and most times we discovered that the person we love staying with always is the only one we can easily listen to and who can easily convince us. Don’t be surprise, its natural, it happens. Sometime you will even notice some characters of the person growing in you, is either you talk like him or her, walk like them, dress like them or do some other thing which you don’t do before and which you can’t even tell how it came over you. That is the power of closeness and mutual understanding.

When you look around you and around your friends or loved one(s), you will notice that there is someone among them no matter their number who you cannot refuse a favour from or disobey no matter the circumstance not because they are more superior than the others or more richer or popular but because they have made so much impact on you that you don’t see yourself living without them, they are like a second alternative to life. Most times, that person might be your friend, spouse, parents or someone you love so much being it a boy or a girl as the sex differs.
Michael was a guy I meet in my area in 2013. As a boxer, Michael happens to be a man who is easily agitated by a little problem. He loved his parents so much that he wouldn’t spare anybody who hurts or tries to harm his parents. But something happened one day between him and his junior brother. They had a problem or i will rather call it a misunderstanding of character over the way his junior brother treats his parents which he considered was unmannered. One day that his brother did something and due to that, he asks him out of the house as he was old enough to find something doing. Every effort was made from both his parents and friends to change his stand over his brother and call him back but he was too headed to their plead as he said that his mind is made up. He never wanted to listen to anybody until when a girl he fell in love with approached him to call his brother back. Only a word from her changed the mind of a man who sworn not to change his stand over his decisions.

You see, this happens in our daily life activities. Many times, we finds out that we listen to what our friends and loved one’s says than our parents and most times we seek advice from them and also reveal our deepest secrets to them than our parents. Holding unto these illustrations, it is clear to you that friend’s contributes immensely to your success and failures.
Impact of a wise relationship is all about knowing yourselves, friends and being wise in making your choice of friends. The level of your friend can influence the level you are. The kind of relationship you keep with people matters most in your life. Most of the wrong decisions and mistakes our leaders make were not their intentions. Some were due to the level of unrealistic thinking advisers they have. As a future leader or a leading leader of dreams and people, your choice of friends matters most as well as your relationship with them because it can alter your success. Just as the philosophical proverb which says that; “Tell me your friend and I will tell you who you are”. Your friends are very important part of your life because they play a major role in your life. When you find yourself in a wrong relationship that does not help you and often discourages you on the right thing to do, here is my advice to you; “Take your bag tie your shoe and run for your life but in case you can’t run, then fly or walk away but make sure you are out of it because if you remain there, your dreams will be an exchange for mediocrity.
Ask yourself this strategic question;
• What effect has that my friend made to my life, does he/she multiplies me or do they subtract from me?
• What have they contributed to my life?

Note- if you were unable to get a reasonable answers to these questions, I guess you know what to do——-(RUN! RUN!! RUN!!!)
